A person who is considered honest is one who displays integrity, is genuine and not deceptive or fraudulent. Honesty is characterized by truth and sincerity. Honesty denotes the quality of being upright in principle and action. Honesty implies truthfulness, fairness in dealing with others, and refusal to engage in fraud, deceit, or dissembling.
Benefits of being honest, to be true:
the person who is honest feels good about himself or herself, and knows that they have done the right thing. A thief may not have a conscious about stealing, but that person has no character. He knows in his heart that he is not good. Even though there isn't a reward for being honest,(i'm not saying that there are none),but you can still hold your head up high and you know you've done the right thing. The benefits you get from being honest are that sometimes you get recognition and thanks for an honest deed. But in general, honesty is not something that is directly rewarded. It is a feeling you have about yourself. It is a feeling of pride and self-worth and character. I feel I am a stronger and better person because of being honest.
(hold your head up high and you know you've done the right thing. feel like a strong and good person because you've done the right thing.)
"True” sometimes carries the meaning of loyal. A true friend, a true patriot, etc., is one who is faithful to a commitment.
poem:
I seek the truth in you
The weak lie is not you
So speak up, yes you
The truth hurts but it works
The truth simplifies and dignifies
The truth sooths preserving your youth
I ask the truth of you
Cry now, take a tissue
So speak up, yes you
The truth signifies and modifies
The truth is within and the best way to begin
The truth is a good start especially for sweethearts
I need the truth of you
Simply choose your venue
So speak up, yes you
The truth to any degree
Is a starting point to be free
Just like one and two make three
So speak up, yes you
If you agree
